Until now, Prepaid Cards were treated like credit cards; however, we have identified the need to adjust these flows to their correct payment method. From now on, they will be handled as a separate payment type.

What does this mean for you?

The configuration of the Payment Brick requires an explicit indication that you accept this payment method. Therefore, it is important for all users of this brick to update their integrations to avoid the loss of transactions with prepaid cards.

Important: If you do not update your integration, transactions with prepaid cards will not be processed, which may directly impact your sales. Additionally, your customers might encounter errors when trying to make payments, such as:

“We could not obtain payment information. Please try another card."

Additional Recommendations:

If your code already classifies transactions based on the 'paymentType' or 'selectedPaymentMethod' parameters, we recommend configuring 'prepaid_card' in the same way as credit_card to ensure a seamless and uninterrupted payment flow.
